Emma Lee Holtsberry of Exton, PA
Emma Lee Holtsberry, born October 19, 1937, in Hillsdale, Michigan to Roy and Tillie May, passed away on October 8, 2016.
She is predeceased by her parents, sister June Davis, brother-in-law Tom Davis, grandson Sean Holtsberry, and nephew Tom Davis.
Emma Lee graduated from Jonesville High School in Jonesville, Michigan and then from Michigan State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
She taught for many years in Michigan, Ohio and Delaware.
Later in her career, she returned to school to complete her Certification as a Paralegal in law, and worked in that capacity for many years, before her retirement.
She was a strong supporter of her husband’s career and followed him as their family moved from different towns in Michigan, Cincinnati, OH, and Wilmington, DE. When they retired, they first moved to Maryville, TN, then chose to be closer to her son and moved to Exton, PA, where she last resided.
She enjoyed travel, fine dining, crossword puzzles, candies, Elvis Presley, and most of all her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Holtsberry, of 58 years; her son Bryan Holtsberry, and his family, from Las Cruces, NM; and her son Todd Holtsberry of Exton, PA.
Her family will both love and miss her greatly.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 7 P.M at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where friends may call from 5:30 to 6:45 P.M.
