Valley Forge Casino Resort: The Philadelphia Taste Festival of Food, Wine and Spirits runs 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 21, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 22, and noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 23. Collegeville Oktoberfest: It’s an afternoon of German food, libations and fun from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 15. The site is across from the Trappe Shopping Center on the Speaker’s House grounds at 151 W. Main St., Trappe. For dessert, guests can take part in a Pie Palooza tasting contest of unlimited homemade pie. Five pints of beer, food, samplings and pie are included in the ticket price of $40. Tickets are $20 for youths 12 to 20 and for designated drivers. For children 6-12, tickets are $10. Entertainment includes a German band, a Revolutionary War reenactment and colonial kids’ games, along with guided behind-the-scene tours of the Frederick Muhlenberg house.
