Surprise surprise: Zubillaga leads the way once again for Unionville in win
KENNETT SQUARE >> Coming off last week’s big win over Great Valley, Unionville had little chance to enjoy it as its attention immediately turned to crosstown rival Kennett.
It took a while, but behind the play of quarterback Joe Zubillaga, Unionville turned back Kennett, 34-14, in the Ches-Mont League American Division contest.
Early on, it didn’t seem as though anyone was going to get rolling on offense. Both defenses were rock solid. The teams combined for six punts in a scoreless first quarter.
“All we really needed was one big play and we knew it was going to be our game,” said Zubillaga.
Unionville (4-0, 5-3) used field position to score first. Forcing Kennett to punt from its end zone, they took over at the Blue Demons’ 32-yard line.
Zubillaga then took it upon himself to make a big play, breaking a couple of tackles near the line of scrimmage, and sprinting
