Parkes­burg woman charged with 2nd theft

Casey Reeder was ar­rested for sus­pected shoplift­ing the same day as her pre­lim­i­nary hear­ing for sim­i­lar in­ci­dent

Casey Reeder, 29, of Parkes­burg, was charged with re­tail theft, re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty and driv­ing un­der sus­pen­sion.

The charges were filed after an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a re­ported $40 theft from a Boscov’s store on Oct. 3. In­ves­ti­ga­tors ob­tained sur­veil­lance video of the in­ci­dent and rec­og­nized the sus­pect as Casey Reeder who had at­tended a pre­lim­i­nary hear­ing ear­lier in the day for a prior re­tail theft ar­rest.

Reeder was ar­raigned be­fore Mag­is­te­rial Dis­trict Judge John Bai­ley in Exton. She was re­manded to the Ch­ester County Prison after fail­ing to post bail, po­lice said.

The fol­low­ing po­lice re­ports were re­leased from the West White­land and West Ch­ester Po­lice De­part­ments.

West White­land

• Natasha Kram­lich, 34, of Nar­von, was charged with DUI on Sept. 30. The charges were filed after a pa­trol of­fi­cer stopped Kram­lich’s ve­hi­cle on Pottstown Pike after a speed­ing vi­o­la­tion. Kram­lich was ar­rested after she failed field so­bri­ety tests.

• Justin Baker, 26, of Gap, was ar­rested on Oct. 1. The charges were filed after a pa­trol of­fi­cer re­sponded to the Wal-Mart store for a theft of a back­pack, con­tain­ing a lap­top com­puter, from a ve­hi­cle. Re­spond­ing of­fi­cers lo­cated Baker and took him into cus­tody. A search war­rant was ex­e­cuted on Baker’s ve­hi­cle and the prop­erty was re­cov­ered. Of­fi­cers also lo­cated al­leged drug para­pher­na­lia and stolen prop­erty be­long­ing to another vic­tim who had prop­erty stolen from her ve­hi­cle in an East Caln shop­ping cen­ter. About $80 in mer­chan­dise was also found in the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said. That mer­chan­dise was found to have been stolen from the Wal-Mart. Baker was charged with re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty, theft from mo­tor ve­hi­cle, theft by un­law­ful tak­ing, re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia.

• Ian Schneider, 40, of Down­ing­town, was charged with DUI on Oct. 2. The charges were filed after a pa­trol of­fi­cer stopped Schneider’s ve­hi­cle at the in­ter­sec­tion of Route 100 and Shoen Road for a red light vi­o­la­tion. Schneider was ar­rested after he failed field so­bri­ety tests.

• Diane Trego, 56, of West Ch­ester, was ar­rested for DUI on Oct. 4. The charges were filed after a pa­trol of­fi­cer ob­served Trego make a left turn off of West Lin­coln High­way. Trego re­port­edly drove in the on­com­ing lane of traf­fic and around posted “Do Not En­ter” signs. The of­fi­cer stopped the ve­hi­cle and made con­tact with Trego. She was ar­rested after she re­port­edly failed field so­bri­ety tests. She was charged with DUI and driv­ing un­der sus­pen­sion for a prior DUI con­vic­tion, po­lice said.

• Ab­dul Ken­dema, 48, of Yeadon, was charged with forgery, ac­cess de­vice fraud, theft by de­cep­tion, re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty and iden­tity theft on Oct. 7. The charges were filed after of­fi­cers were dis­patched to the Sam’s Club store for a fraud. Of­fi­cers made con­tact with Ken­dema who had made $2,231 in pur­chases since Sept. 29. It was de­ter­mined that one or more of the pur­chases was made with the credit card num­ber of a Cam­den, New Jer­sey, res­i­dent. In­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered 15 credit cards from Ken­dema dur­ing his ar­rest. Many of the cards are sus­pected to be coun­ter­feit and pos­si­bly con­tain per­sonal in­for­ma­tion be­long­ing to other vic­tims, po­lice said.

West Ch­ester

• Matthew Gilger, 35, of Brookhaven, was charged with DUI and re­lated of­fenses after wit­nesses re­ported a driver al­legedly hit a parked car in the 400 block of North High Street on Oct. 4, at about 5:30 p.m. Po­lice said they found the driver at the Wawa at Pottstown Pike and Boot Road and was sub­se­quently ar­rested.

• Shawn Boz, 21, of Coatesville, was charged with as­sault and re­lated charges after Boz al­legedly punched a per­son in the nose after re­peat­edly get­ting de­nied en­try to Ryan’s Pub on Sept. 9, shortly after mid­night. Po­lice said Boz was re­fused en­try to the bar be­cause of his level of in­tox­i­ca­tion.

• Nathan Hack­man, 26, of Li­titz, was charged with DUI after of­fi­cers re­sponded to re­ports of a hit -and-run crash in the 100 block of East Mar­ket Street. Po­lice said as a re­sult of the in­ves­ti­ga­tion, Hack­man was taken into cus­tody after al­legedly fail­ing so­bri­ety tests on Oct. 8, at about 12:30 a.m.
