B.S. in Cy­ber­se­cu­rity avail­able fall 2017

Immaculata Univer­sity, known for its rich his­tory and beau­ti­ful cam­pus in Malvern, is proud to of­fer adult stu­dents seek­ing de­gree com­ple­tion pro­grams with the con­ve­nience of on­line learn­ing through the Col­lege of Life­long Learn­ing. With the ad­di­tion of the new B.S in Cy­ber­se­cu­rity, stu­dents can now choose from 10 pro­grams fully on­line.

Immaculata staff and fac­ulty proudly of­fer on­line stu­dents with the same level of cus­tom­ized sup­port on-cam­pus stu­dents en­joy, lead­ing to an ex­cel­lent re­ten­tion rate. A free on­line suc­cess course sets the stage for new stu­dents so they can learn how to nav­i­gate their re­sources be­fore get­ting started in class.

In ad­di­tion to the flex­i­bil­ity pro­vided by learn­ing on­line, most of Immaculata’s on­line cour­ses are avail­able in an ac­cel­er­ated for­mat as well as a tra­di­tional 15-week of­fer­ing. Immaculata also works with each stu­dent in­di­vid­u­ally to as­sess pre­vi­ous col­lege cred­its, work and life ex­pe­ri­ences that can save time and cost.

Cur­rent stu­dent Paula Kahley is pur­su­ing BS in Health Care Man­age­ment on­line. “The on­line ac­cel­er­ated pro­gram works with my sched­ule,” she ex­plained. “The ad­vi­sors and fac­ulty are won­der­ful and work with you to help achieve your dream!”

In ad­di­tion to the rapidly grow­ing health care in­dus­try, Immaculata is re­spond­ing to the need for trained Cy­ber­se­cu­rity pro­fes­sion­als. The in­ter­dis­ci­pli­nary bach­e­lor of science pro­gram will help stu­dents de­velop quan­ti­ta­tive and tech­ni­cal abil­i­ties along with skills in crit­i­cal think­ing, com­mu­ni­ca­tion and eth­i­cal rea­son­ing. In- struc­tors are all sub­ject mat­ter ex­perts in the field of cy­ber­se­cu­rity and bring a wealth of ex­pe­ri­ence to ev­ery class. The six cy­ber­se­cu­rity cour­ses take stu­dents through the phases of as­sess­ing a sys­tem’s vul­ner­a­bil­ity, build­ing de­fenses in depth, and uti­liz­ing foren­sics.

Ad­di­tional pro­grams of­fered on­line in­clude Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion, Busi­ness Man­age­ment, Fi­nance, Hu­man Re­source Man­age­ment, Mar­ket­ing Man­age­ment, Or­ga­ni­za­tional Be­hav­ior, RN to BSN and the re­gion’s only bach­e­lor’s de­gree in Emer­gency Plan­ning and Man­age­ment. With the ex­cep­tion of Cy­ber­se­cu­rity, all of the de­gree com­ple­tion pro­grams are also avail­able on cam­pus or in hy­brid for­mat.
