2 CHARGED IN GUNPOINT ROBBERY
Alleged victims told police that they had $160 stolen from them
EAST CALN >> Police arrested two suspects for allegedly robbing victims at gunpoint on Thursday.
Downingtown police were dispatched at 7:52 p.m. Thursday to the area of Jackson Court in East Caln for a report of a robbery. An officer was in the vicinity of the crime scene when approached by the victims. The victims then told the officer that they had been robbed at gunpoint by two males who stole $160 cash from them. The suspects reportedly fled in a silver Mercedes.
A Downingtown officer later observed the silver Mercedes, as described, in the parking lot at 132 West Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown. Police said they observed the vehicle exit the parking lot and they conducted a stop. Police said the two occupants in the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. Police did not identify the suspects.
Caln Police Department and Uwchlan Police Department assisted the Downingtown police.
