Mar­garet A. Ben­nett of Malvern

Mar­garet A. Ben­nett, 81, passed away on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 19, 2016, af­ter a long and full life. Born in Paoli, she was the sec­ond child born to John and Es­ther Beaton. Mag­gie was born at home on Novem­ber 24, 1934 on prop­erty be­long­ing to the Church of the Good Sa­mar­i­tan where her fa­ther was em­ployed. She loved the church and was a life-long mem­ber. She grad­u­ated as a reg­is­tered nurse from Ch­ester County Hos­pi­tal in 1955. Over the years she worked as a nurse at var­i­ous places in­clud­ing Ch­ester County Hos­pi­tal, Paoli Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal, and for Dr. Clif­ford Lewis in Malvern. In her re­tire­ment years she en­joyed work­ing in the mail­room for Becket and Lee, LLP in Malvern. Mag­gie last lived at Wayne Manor where she of­ten played bingo and en­joyed the dif­fer­ent en­ter­tain­ers the Manor brought in for the res­i­dents.

Her par­ents and her youngest son, David Ben­nett (De­bra), pre­de­ceased Mag­gie in life. She leaves be­hind her brother Robert Beaton (Phyl­lis) of Vineland, NJ, daugh­ter San­dra Ben­nett Mal­loy of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and sons John Ben­nett (Karen) of Colorado Springs, CO, Ge­orge Ben­nett (Chris­tine) of Honey Brook, PA, and An­drew Ben­nett (Anne) of Malvern, PA. Also, surviving are her grand­chil­dren Sa­man­tha Ben­nett, Devon Mal­loy, Joe Ben­nett and Dan Ben­nett, and great grand­chil­dren Nathan and Sarah.

Funeral ser­vices will be pri­vate.
