Josephine Krapf (Jo), 96, of New Hol­land, formerly of Down­ing­town, died at hos­pice on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 21, 2016.

Jo was born in Guthriesville, daugh­ter of the late H. Wil­son Robin­son and the late Edna Moore Robin­son. She was mar­ried to the late Warren Krapf for 68 years.

Jo is sur­vived by her only child, daugh­ter Ch­eryl J. Krapf of New Hol­land and her sis­ter Dorothy Smed­ley of Down­ing­town and was pre­ceded in death by her brother Charles.

A member of Hopewell United Methodist Church for most of her life, Jo served as pres­i­dent of the Ep­worth League, ush­ered at the Pas­sion Play and taught young chil­dren in Sun­day School. Most re­cently, she at­tended St. Stephen Re­formed Church.

In ad­di­tion to car­ing for her fam­ily and house­hold, she was ac­tively in­volved in her hus­band’s busi­nesses. Re­tir­ing from own­ing and op­er­at­ing school buses in West Chester in 1983, Jo and hus­band Warren moved to New Hol­land. In her free time, she en­joyed golf, read­ing, crafts, needle­work, ad­ven­tures to Europe with daugh­ter Ch­eryl and the com­pan­ion­ship of fam­ily dogs. Rel­a­tives and friends are in­vited to her fu­neral ser­vice on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Bower Chapel of Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Down­ing­town, PA with Pas­tor Vicki Pry and Rev. Dr. Ti­mothy Wit­mer of­fi­ci­at­ing. En­tomb­ment will be in the fam­ily mau­soleum. Daugh­ter Ch­eryl will re­ceive friends on Thurs­day at the Chapel from 10 – 11 a.m.
