Po­lice are re­quest­ing any­one who may have wit­nessed a fa­tal crash early Sun­day morn­ing to con­tact them.

EAST GOSHEN >> Po­lice are re­quest­ing any­one who may have wit­nessed a fa­tal crash early Sun­day morn­ing to con­tact the depart­ment.

Shortly af­ter 6 a.m. Sun­day, Westtown-East Goshen po­lice re­sponded to re­ports of a ve­hi­cle crash in­volv­ing a pedes­trian at the in­ter­sec­tion of West Ch­ester Pike and Water­view Road.

Po­lice said a mem­ber of the Goshen Fire Com­pany was per­form­ing CPR on the vic­tim, Richard Crosby, 46, of East Goshen. Crosby died of his in­jures from the crash, po­lice said.

The crash re­mains un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion. Po­lice said the man driv­ing the ve­hi­cle, a 2008 Dodge Charger, re­mained at the scene and called emer­gency ser­vices.

Po­lice did not re­lease the iden­tity of the man driv­ing the ve­hi­cle, but de­scribed him as a 26-year-old man.

The Westtown-East Goshen Re­gional Po­lice Depart­ment re­sponded to the scene, and was as­sisted by the Se­ri­ous Crash Ac­ci­dent Team and the Goshen Fire Com­pany.
