James A. McCreary Sr. of Glenmoore

1949-2016

James A. McCreary, Sr., 67, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his home.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Vernon P. and Gladys Emory McCreary and stepmother Margaret Adams McCreary and the husband of Sharon Campbell McCreary with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.

He served in the US Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War.

Jim was previously an electrician at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.

In addition to his wife, Sharon, Jim is survived by his daughter Jeannette and son James, Jr. both of Glenmoore; two grandchildren: James III and Jesse; and one sister Ellen Moye and her husband Daryl of Columbus, GA.

At Jim’s request, there will be no services.
