Wil­liam K. Em­manuel, 89, of Honey Brook passed away peace­fully on Wed­nes­day, October 19. 2016 at Tel Hai Re­tire­ment Com­mu­nity in Honey Brook, after a brief bat­tle with can­cer.

Born in Orange, PA, he was the son of the late David B. and Celia Dy­mond Em­manuel. He was a grad­u­ate of Ch­ester High School. Be­fore re­tir­ing, he worked for 33 years at the Sun Oil Re­fin­ery in Mar­cus Hook, PA.

Bill loved spend­ing time with his fam­ily, es­pe­cially his grand­chil­dren and great-grand­chil­dren. He en­joyed gar­den­ing and shar­ing the veg­eta­bles he grew, es­pe­cially toma­toes, with fam­ily and friends. As a res­i­dent at Tel Hai, he was rec­og­nized for his ded­i­cated vol­un­teer service to that com­mu­nity.

He was pre­ceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Jane Rhood Em­manuel, and his brother, Leon Emanuel.

Sur­viv­ing are his wife of 33 years, Martha Hib­berd Em­manuel; sons, Wil­liam K. Em­manuel Jr. and wife, Pa­tri­cia, West Ch­ester; Gary B. Em­manuel and wife, Joan, Down­ing­town; grand­chil­dren Bryan Em­manuel, Phoenixville; Amy Brady, Elver­son; Ash­ley Ro­hde, Fort My­ers; Brit­tany Em­manuel, Philadel­phia; Ja­son Em­manuel, Down­ing­town; and six great­grand­chil­dren.

A Me­mo­rial Service will be held Satur­day, October 29th at 2 pm at Tel Hai Re­tire­ment Com­mu­nity, 1200 Tel Hai Cir­cle, Honey Brook, PA. The fam­ily will greet friends one half hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the Amer­i­can Can­cer So­ci­ety or the Sal­va­tion Army.
