Book club dis­cus­sion group Cal­vary Lutheran Church:

Pas­tor Dan Krew­son be­lieves “that we must be in­ten­tional to wage peace in light of the es­ca­lat­ing re­li­gious vi­o­lence and ex­trem­ism of our day.” Mem­bers of the Re­li­gious Coun­cil of Greater West Ch­ester are host­ing a book dis­cus­sion group in 201617. Par­tic­i­pants are in­vited to read “Lay­ing Down the Sword” by Philip Jenk­ins. The group will meets on: Nov. 28, Jan. 23 and March 6 (first meet­ing was Oct. 24). Har­vest cel­e­bra­tion Ro­mansville United Methodist Church:

The com­mu­nity is in­vited to join the con­gre­ga­tion dur­ing its An­nual Har­vest Cel­e­bra­tion/Hay Ride from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sun­day, Oct. 30. The church is lo­cated at 1859 W. Stras­burg Road, Ro­mansville. Join around the camp fire, cook hot­dogs, roast marsh­mal­lows and en­joy chips and yummy cook­ies, along with a fun filled hay ride for par­ents and chil­dren. Join the con­gre­ga­tion for break­fast and fel­low­ship as it hon­ors the mem­ory of Bro. Sheri­dan Dick­in­son, whose wish was to have this break­fast on a reg­u­lar ba­sis with the pro­ceeds go­ing to­ward the “Catch the Vi­son” build­ing fund.
