Theodore H. Moltz, for­merly of West Ch­ester, died on Au­gust 23, 2016 in Tidewell Hos­pice in Sara­sota Florida.

Theodore “Ted” was born on Septem­ber 21, 1926 to Theodore H. and Mary Boldridge Moltz in Whit­ford Penn­syl­va­nia. He at­tended Down­ing­town Schools and the Ran­dolph Ma­con Academy in Front Royal Vir­ginia. He mar­ried his lov­ing wife Anita Knox on Septem­ber 27, 1955 at the West­min­is­ter Pres­by­te­rian Church in West Ch­ester.

He had a long ca­reer in sales and man­age­ment with the Ea­ton Cor­po­ra­tion, which moved him from Erie, Can­ton & Hud­son Ohio to Hol­land and West Ch­ester Penn­syl­va­nia. Af­ter a brief re­tire­ment Ted joined A. Duie Pyle as a driver, then Ware­house Man­ager.

When fully re­tired Ted and Anita moved to Sara­sota Florida where they took up sail­ing and be­came in­volved with the Sahib Shrine. His 23 years in Sara­sota were filled with sail­ing in the Gulf of Mex­ico and vol­un­teer­ing in nu­mer­ous char­ity events to ben­e­fit The Shriner’s Hos­pi­tal for Chil­dren in Tampa. He was a 32nd de­gree Ma­son and a mem­ber of the Scot­tish Rite.

Ted was pre­ceded in death by his wife Anita and sis­ters Jeanne Bick­ing (Robert) and Mariellen Wilkins (Earl). He is sur­vived by his son Tobin W. Moltz (Cindy) of Pottstown, PA and daugh­ter Marianne Sands (Ran­dall) of Brookeville, MD and grand­chil­dren Kris­tine Moltz Palmer (Oliver), Kather­ine Moltz Wil­liams (Christo­pher), Jus­tan Pratt, Lau­ren Sands and Yard­ley Sands.

Ted was loved and ad­mired for his gen­eros­ity, in­cred­i­ble work ethic and sense of hu­mor. He will be greatly missed.

A Memo­rial Ser­vice will be held on Mon­day, Novem­ber 14, 2016 at the West­min­ster Pres­by­te­rian Church, 10 W. Pleas­ant Grove Road, West Ch­ester, PA at 11:00 AM.
