George L Hagerty of Glen Mills

George L. Hagerty, 89, a longtime business owner in Media, PA passed away on Nov. 3, 2016. He was the proprietor of County Sunoco for over 50 years. George was a founding member of SS. Simon & Jude Parish. He served for four years in the Merchant Marines and was an avid hunter, boater and fisherman.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Hagerty, and his sister, Dolores Nunan.

Survived by his wife, Barbara Hagerty (Kucker); his children, Thomas Hagerty, Margaret Swartz (Scott), Francis Hagerty (Judi), Josephine Martin (Larry), Noreen Bernardini (Dave); his stepchildren, Richard Wenner (Sharon) and Pamela Wenner; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; his brother, Samuel Hagerty; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, Nov. 9th 10:30 AM at Nativity BVM, 30 E. Franklin St. Media, PA. Calling: 9:30 - 10:30 AM. Burial: Media Cemetery.
