Po­lice of­fi­cers re­ceive Top Gun Award

WEST BRANDY­WINE >> Two po­lice of­fi­cers from the West Brandy­wine Po­lice Department re­ceived the 2016 Penn­syl­va­nia DUI As­so­ci­a­tion’s Top Gun Award for their work tak­ing im­paired driv­ers off the street on Oct. 27.

Pa­trol­man Philip Mol­lichella, and Pa­trol­man Andrew Vat­ti­lana, re­ceived their awards at the Eden Re­sort in Lan­caster dur­ing the as­so­ci­a­tion’s 37th an­nual meet­ing. A to­tal of 64 po­lice of­fi­cers were hon­ored, and ac­cord­ing to the West Brandy­wine Po­lice Department, Vat­ti­lana ar­rested 21 peo­ple for DUI, and Mol­lichella ar­rested 25 for DUI from Jan 2, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2015, and that no other of­fi­cers from Ch­ester County re­ceived this award.
