Colleen E. Gock­ley of Lan­caster

Colleen E. Gock­ley fin­ished her earthly life on Fri­day, Novem­ber 4, 2016 at Home­stead Vil­lage.

She was the wife of Rev. Mil­ton E. Gock­ley, Jr., for sixty-nine years, and the daugh­ter of the late Ge­orge Ray­mond Eck­man and Mary Pearl Eck­man.

Sur­viv­ing in ad­di­tion to her hus­band are a daugh­ter, Jane Colleen, mar­ried to James E. Rothen­berger; a son, James Mil­ton, mar­ried to Gretchen (Blaugher) Gock­ley; a daugh­ter, Ju­dith May, mar­ried to James C. Corry; six grand­chil­dren and four great grand­chil­dren. She was pre­ceded in death by her brother, Richard and her sis­ter, Sara Jane.

Colleen at­tended J. P. McCaskey High School and was em­ployed for a num­ber of years as of­fice man­ager and as­sis­tant to physi­cians in Lionville and Paoli. She was a vol­un­teer for the Colo­nial Wil­liams­burg Foun­da­tion, serv­ing as a do­cent for ori­en­ta­tion walks and as a host­ess in the donor house. She was a mem­ber of the Church of the Apos­tles United Church of Christ.

A cel­e­bra­tion of her life will be held at Church of the Apos­tles United Church of Christ, 1850 Ma­ri­etta Ave., Lan­caster, PA on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Kathryn L. Kuhn of­fi­ci­at­ing. The family will re­ceive friends im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the ser­vices.
