Colleen E. Gockley of Lancaster
Colleen E. Gockley finished her earthly life on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Homestead Village.
She was the wife of Rev. Milton E. Gockley, Jr., for sixty-nine years, and the daughter of the late George Raymond Eckman and Mary Pearl Eckman.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Jane Colleen, married to James E. Rothenberger; a son, James Milton, married to Gretchen (Blaugher) Gockley; a daughter, Judith May, married to James C. Corry; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard and her sister, Sara Jane.
Colleen attended J. P. McCaskey High School and was employed for a number of years as office manager and assistant to physicians in Lionville and Paoli. She was a volunteer for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, serving as a docent for orientation walks and as a hostess in the donor house. She was a member of the Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ.
A celebration of her life will be held at Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ, 1850 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Kathryn L. Kuhn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services.
