Henry B. Harbage of Ex­ton, PA

Henry B. Harbage, 90, passed away on Mon­day, Novem­ber 7, 2016.

He was the son of Joseph and Gla­dys Harbage. A na­tive of Had­don­field NJ., Henry served in the Navy dur­ing WWII, a re­servist un­til 1955, and earned a Mas­ter’s in Ed­u­ca­tion from the Uni­ver­sity of Penn­syl­va­nia.

He taught at Over­brook School for The Blind for 25 years. Henry was Scout Mas­ter of Troop 123. He was a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Nu­mis­matic As­so­ci­a­tion for over fifty years. A life­long Methodist, he will be laid to rest in the Finke­nauer Mau­soleum.

He is pre-de­ceased, five days ear­lier, by his beloved wife of 62 years, Marie B. Harbage (nee Finke­nauer). He is sur­vived by his sis­ter Bar­bara Pen­ny­packer of East Berlin, PA; daugh­ters, Joanna Hurst of Malvern, PA and Pamela Martin of Pottstown, PA; 5 grand-chil­dren and 3 great-grand-chil­dren.

In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions can be made to the Over­brook School for The Blind. Visi­ta­tion at 10:00 A.M. and Fu­neral Ser­vice at 11 A.M., Satur­day, Novem­ber 12th, at West Lau­rel Hill Ceme­tery at the Chapel of Peace, 225 Bel­mont Ave., Bala Cyn­wyd PA. En­tomb­ment im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing at West­min­ster Ceme­tery, Bala Cyn­wyd PA.
