Daily Local News (West Chester, PA) - - DAILY LOCAL NEWS -

Central Montgomery County Business and Professional Women celebrated National Business Women’s Week with their Woman of the Year award to Hon. Cheryl Lynne Austin of Abington during an award dinner at Pepper’s. Representative Madeleine Dean read one of the many proclamations in honor of Judge Austin who broke many ceilings in her Navy and law career. The judge shared how she could not have been in the position to challenge the norm if not for her family, friends and the invaluable mentorship from fellow BPW members. When Austin was elected in 2011, she was the first African American woman judge in Montgomery County.
