Martin’s Corner Volunteer Fire Relief Association
An audit of Martin’s Corner Volunteer Fire Relief Association found about $21,000 in undocumented spending between January 2012 and May 2014.
Martin’s Corner merged with the Keystone Valley Volunteer Fire Relief Association in May 2014, and the statement released by DePasquale recommended to the Keystone Valley leadership that proper documentation for the fire departments be obtained.
“As so stated in the auditor general’s statement, we have cooperated fully and will continue to cooperate fully,” said spokesman Peter Mango.
He also noted that the questionable expenditures occurred before Keystone Valley’s acquisition of Martin’s Corner.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately return a request for comment.
