Nancy Clarke, 63, of Down­ing­town, passed away on Sun­day, Novem­ber 20, 2016 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Rus­sell, with whom she shared 36 years of mar­riage.

Born in Scran­ton, she was the daugh­ter of the late John J. and Dell Marie Michaeli Clarke.

Af­ter grad­u­at­ing from Mary­wood Col­lege, Nancy earned her Masters in the Health Stud­ies Pro­gram of Syra­cuse Univer­sity’s Maxwell School of Pub­lic of Ad­min­is­tra­tion. She worked as a health plan­ner for Roxbor­ough and Chest­nut Hill hos­pi­tals in Philadel­phia in her early ca­reer and there­after held health care po­si­tions for var­i­ous com­pa­nies in­clud­ing Main Line Health.

Nancy was a long-time parish­ioner of St. Joseph Church in Down­ing­town where she was a mem­ber of the choir, and was ac­tive on health-re­lated com­mit­tees. She was a char­ter mem­ber of the “Marsh Creek Read­ers” book club, was an avid ten­nis player and en­joyed golf­ing with her hus­band and chil­dren. A ded­i­cated walker, she could of­ten be found on the Stru­ble Trail.

In ad­di­tion to her hus­band, she is sur­vived by her two sons, Robert John Rus­sell and his wife Rose Seyler Rus­sell and Neal Joseph Rus­sell and his wife Jen­nifer Rus­sell. She is also sur­vived by a sis­ter, Soni Clarke Lee, her hus­band Bill Lee and their chil­dren Jona, Dil­lon and Kee­gan.

Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, Novem­ber 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Av­enue, Down­ing­town, where fam­ily and friends will be re­ceived from 9:30-10:45 am.

In­ter­ment will be pri­vate with the fam­ily.

Ar­range­ments are be­ing han­dled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Down­ing­town.
