Nancy Clarke of Downingtown
Nancy Clarke, 63, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Russell, with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Dell Marie Michaeli Clarke.
After graduating from Marywood College, Nancy earned her Masters in the Health Studies Program of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Public of Administration. She worked as a health planner for Roxborough and Chestnut Hill hospitals in Philadelphia in her early career and thereafter held health care positions for various companies including Main Line Health.
Nancy was a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Downingtown where she was a member of the choir, and was active on health-related committees. She was a charter member of the “Marsh Creek Readers” book club, was an avid tennis player and enjoyed golfing with her husband and children. A dedicated walker, she could often be found on the Struble Trail.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Robert John Russell and his wife Rose Seyler Russell and Neal Joseph Russell and his wife Jennifer Russell. She is also survived by a sister, Soni Clarke Lee, her husband Bill Lee and their children Jona, Dillon and Keegan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, where family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 am.
Interment will be private with the family.
