Coatesville po­lice in­ves­ti­gate 2 bur­glar­ies

Coatesville po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two bur­glar­ies that oc­curred dur­ing the sea­son of Thanks­giv­ing.

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two bur­glar­ies that oc­curred dur­ing the sea­son of Thanks­giv­ing.

Coatesville po­lice re­sponded on Thanks­giv­ing on Nov. 24 at about 11:55 p.m. to the 100 block of North Sec­ond Av­enue for a re­port of a bur­glary. The vic­tim ad­vised po­lice that the sus­pect stole med­i­ca­tion and nearly $200 in cash. Po­lice said they be­lieve the sus­pect “would have eas­ily been seen gain­ing ac­cess” into the res­i­dence.

Coatesville po­lice also re­sponded on Nov. 22 at about 6 a.m. to the 300 block of West Lin­coln High­way for a re­port of a bur­glary. The sus­pect dam­aged the prop­erty in­side the es­tab­lish­ment and stole money, ac­cord­ing to the po­lice re­port.

Both bur­glar­ies are un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion. Po­lice ask that any­one with in­for­ma­tion about ei­ther in­ci­dent to con­tact the Coatesville Po­lice Depart­ment at 610-384-2300. The fol­low­ing re­ports were re­leased by Coatesville po­lice.

Mis­chief

• Coatesville po­lice said they re­sponded to a re­port of a His­panic man throw­ing beer bot­tles at a res­i­dence in the 700 block of East Lin­coln High­way on Nov. 23 at about 9:15 p.m. Po­lice said they ob­served that two win­dows on the front of the house had been smashed out. A vic­tim told po­lice that they did not rec­og­nize the His­panic man who re­port­edly yelled pro­fan­i­ties be­fore he threw the beer bot­tles at their home, ac­cord­ing to the re­port. The man fled the area prior to po­lice ar­riv­ing. Po­lice checked the area but were un­able to find the sus­pect.

• Coatesville po­lice re­ceived a re­port on Nov. 28 at about 8 a.m. that change and ve­hi­cle parts were stolen from a ve­hi­cle parked in the 800 block of But­ton­wood Street. Po­lice ask any­one with in­for­ma­tion to con­tact them.

Drugs

• Coatesville po­lice said they ob­served Thomas Lawrence re­port­edly make a drug trans­ac­tion at a gas sta­tion in the 600 block of East Lin­coln High­way on Nov. 27 at 3:45 a.m. Po­lice said Lawrence al­legedly was in pos­ses­sion of crack co­caine. Po­lice took Lawrence, 33, of Coatesville, into cus­tody and he was sent to Ch­ester County Prison af­ter he failed to post bail, ac­cord­ing to the re­port.

• Coatesville po­lice said they con­ducted a drug in­ves­ti­ga­tion on an oc­cu­pied ve­hi­cle in the 300 block of Charles Street on Nov. 27 at about 11:40 p.m. Po­lice said Kelly Con­way re­port­edly ad­mit­ted to smok­ing mar­i­juana, ac­cord­ing to the re­port. Po­lice said they found a plas­tic vial re­port­edly con­tain­ing sus­pected mar­i­juana and a burnt blunt. Po­lice took Con­way, 19, of Coatesville, into cus­tody and she was re­leased pend­ing sum­mons, ac­cord­ing to the re­port.

• Coatesville po­lice said they came into con­tact with Dar­ius Carter, the driver of a dis­abled ve­hi­cle on Nov. 26 at about 11:40 p.m. in the 600 block of East Har­mony Street. Po­lice said they de­tected an odor of mar­i­juana re­port­edly com­ing from in­side Carter’s ve­hi­cle. Carter ad­mit­ted to po­lice that he had mar­i­juana in his car, ac­cord­ing to po­lice. When of­fi­cers found the drugs, they took Carter, 21, of Coatesville, into cus­tody and he was re­leased pend­ing sum­mons, ac­cord­ing to the re­port.

War­rants

• A Coatesville po­lice of­fi­cer said on Nov. 23 at about 10 a.m. he ob­served Richard Mil­bourne, who has a war­rant out for fail­ing to ap­pear at a court pro­ceed­ing. Po­lice took Mil­bourne, 51, of Coatesville, into cus­tody with­out in­ci­dent in the unit block of South First Av­enue, ac­cord­ing to the re­port. He was re­manded to Ch­ester County Prison.

• Coatesville po­lice said Ar­mando Le­mus, 32, of Coatesville, was taken into cus­tody by Tredyf­frin po­lice on Nov. 23 for an ac­tive felony as­sault war­rant out of Coates-

ville. He was ar­raigned and re­leased upon post­ing bail, ac­cord­ing to the re­port.

• A Coatesville po­lice of­fi­cer said he came into con­tact with La­mar John­son on Nov. 22 in the 100 block of North Fourth Av­enue at about 1 p.m. Po­lice said they dis­cov­ered that John­son had an ac­tive war­rant for his ar­rest for pro­ba­tion vi­o­la­tions. John­son, 28, was taken into cus­tody

with­out in­ci­dent, ac­cord­ing to the re­port.

• Coatesville po­lice of­fi­cers at­tempted to serve a war­rant in the 100 block of South Fourth Av­enue on Nov. 21 at about 9 p.m. when they said they ob­served mar­i­juana on the win­dow sill in­side the home. Po­lice con­fis­cated the drugs. At that time, po­lice said Rasheeda Ak­bar re­port­edly at­tempted to grab the mar­i­juana back from the of­fi­cer. Po­lice said they took Ak­bar, of Coatesville, into cus­tody for ob­struc­tion. Po­lice noted that the war­rant was for an­other per­son.
