Mabel Jane Roulston of Glenmoore

Mabel Jane Roulston passed away on March 22, 2017 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Pennsylvania.

Mabel was born on September 7, 1930 in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Ralph M. Ballantyne and Mabel Ruth Johnson Ballantyne.

She was a 1948 graduate of West Philadelphia High School.

She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Devereux Foundation for 25 years before retiring.

Mabel was an avid flower gardener and was active with the Eastern Star since 1949. In the past she held every position with the Eastern Star on the local level and served as Deputy Grand Matron.

Mabel was the wife of Charles W. Roulston, to whom she was married for 33 years. She was the loving mother of Barbara J. Summers (John) of West Virginia, Lorraine E. Solecki, (Michael) of New Jersey, Colleen G. Roulston of Glenmoore, and Charles N. Roulston (Frances) of Birchrunville, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by two brothers, Ralph M. Ballantyne of Philadelphia and Robert L. Ballantyne of Gilbertsville, 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She is predeceased by two brothers, Eugene C. Ballantyne and James Ballantyne.

Mabel will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A viewing will be held at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Ave., Downingtown on Monday, March 27th where friends and family may call from 10-11:45am immediately followed by a brief Order of the Eastern Star service. A service celebrating her life will take place at 12 noon.

Interment will be held at the Fairview Presbyterian Cemetery in Glenmoore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Glen Moore United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37 Glenmoore, PA. 19343
