5K RACE AT RIDLEY CREEK STATE PARK

When: Saturday at 9 a.m. Where: 351 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square

More Details: The Sweat for Sammy event will include a 5K run, 1-mile walk and wheel, and a kids fun run. It will begin at Ridley Creek State Park in picnic area 17. The cost to register is $35 except for the kids fun run which is free. All the proceeds go to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation. BIKE RIDE IN PARKESBURG

When: Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Where: Victory Brewing Company, 3127 Lower Valley Road

More Details: The event is called Bikes & Beers. There is a 15-mile and 30-mile bicycle ride option. The after party will be at the brewery where participants get two free beers.
