Conestoga wins in double OT
Caitlin Donovan scored in the second overtime as the Conestoga girls soccer team shaded Unionville, 1-0, in a nonleague contest Saturday.
Donovan latched onto a loose ball off a free kick and volleyed it into the net from about 18-yards out.
The Pioneers (5-0-1) held a 14-6 shot advantage. Maeve Regan and Caroline Klaiber combined for six saves.
Abby Hug collected six saves for the Indians. Hewes and Sam Price recorded goals for the Indians in the nonleague shutout. Hewes and Brendan Humes notched assists. Greer and midfielder Hunter Firment were standouts. to lift the Patriots (51) to the nonleague victory. Molly Wolford and Stephanie Getz had a defensive save each. Goalies Evelyn Seasholtz and Ryan Curley recorded for saves each. Gill Iacobucci scored the equalizer with 13 minutes left in the second half.
