121st Detwiler Fam­ily Re­u­nion

De­scen­dants of Henry and Cather­ine Detwiler who along with their 12 chil­dren, be­gan the re­u­nion in 1897, once again met to con­tinue the tra­di­tion at Camp Innabah, Pughtown on Aug. 19. Fam­ily mem­bers brought items for the dis­play de­pict­ing the theme “Fam­ily” Books to Share. Young and old alike joined to­gether for the group fam­ily photo, with the quilt made by Martha Weed for the 100th Re­u­nion, used as back­drop. A water “Slip and Slide” was en­joyed by the younger fam­ily mem­bers, along with crafts to make and take home. Eric Fet­ters pre­sented an in­ter­ac­tive scav­enger hunt and door prizes were given out. Dick Lusch gave a His­to­ri­ans re­port and an up­date on the Detwiler web­site. A busi­ness meet­ing was held with clos­ing re­marks by Pres­i­dent Sandy Lusch. Of­fi­cers were elected for the in­com­ing year.
