Two dozen refugees drown near Greece

Twenty-four mi­grants flee­ing con­flicts in the Middle East drowned when their boat cap­sized off the Greek is­land of Samos near Turkey on Thurs­day. The Greek coast guard said it had res­cued 10 peo­ple and was still search­ing for 11 miss­ing peo­ple. Chil­dren were among the vic­tims. Ap­prox­i­mately 200 peo­ple have drowned while try­ing to get to Greece this month.
