St. Joseph’s Church: Con­cord Road, As­ton, holds Adult Scrip­ture Study from 7-8:30 p.m. Tues­days. This year’s top­ics are the let­ters of St. Paul to the Philip­pi­ans, Colos­sians, Eph­e­sians and the two let­ters to the Thes­sa­lo­ni­ans. In these let­ters of en­cour­age­ment, correction, and in­struc­tion writ­ten from prison, Paul lov­ingly in­spires and of­fers chal­lenges to greater dis­ci­ple­ship. The classes of­fer greater un­der­stand­ing and in depth DVD pre­sen­ta­tions by scrip­ture schol­ars. Cost of $20 in­cludes a study guide. The class runs seven weeks with a break in Ad­vent for op­tional study of the in­fancy nar­ra­tives of Luke and Matthew, then re­sumes for an ad­di­tional six weeks.
