HEAD IN THE SAND

Daily Times (Primos, PA) - - WEATHER - Sound Off: Call 484-521-3180

“Et tu, Donny?” What kind of headline is that? Was that a typo or are your headline writers losing their minds? We don’t want no foreign languages in our headlines. This is America, and everybody should speak English all the time. It’s the native language of America. You should order your cheesesteaks in English and write your headlines in English. Enough is enough, Daily Times! You’ve gone too far this time!

THAT SPORTING LIFE

I don’t know why on Tuesday on Saturday and Sundays they have golf on. Golf to me is one of the most boring sports there is. Also you can have tennis — that’s another boring sport. Wish they would put something else on TV besides golf and tennis. They’re very boring sports. I don’t care about them at all. Put on some rough and tough sports, that’s the kind of sports I like. RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

I see a couple of people posted about global warming. Obviously you don’t know the difference between weather and climate. You want to see what climate change is doing, head down to Carolina this week and you’ll get some first-hand knowledge.

SPEED KILLS

The guy in the White House makes up facts and then lies about everything. It’s like trickledown economics. It’s trickling down to the general public because I’m reading about this hoax behind speed cameras in Pennsylvania. I think I read in the paper the other day that state troopers along Route 1 were allowing people to go 10 to 15 mph over the speed limit before they pull them over. Excuse me, if you were going over the speed limit you were breaking the law. So they’re basically saying it’s OK if you’re only breaking the law a little bit.

GIVE THEM AN INCH ...

THANKS FOR REMEMBERING

I wanna thank all of the law enforcement and all the first responders, all the politicians of Delaware County and many more people for remembering the victims of 9/11. We must never forget that tragedy. We must never forget Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Day, and the victims of 9/11. God bless them all. HENNY THE BARTENDER

MONEY FOR NOTHING

President Trump doesn’t draw a paycheck. I don’t think he needs it. Gov. Wolf does not take a paycheck. He drives his own little Jeep and everything because he cares about Pennsylvania. They both give their pay to charity. Trump wanted to give your money back to the people and get Social Security a nice raise. I could sure use it to put a roof on my house before all the rain comes down inside, which some of it does. I’m just waiting for the snow to come and then I’ll move to the White House.

FIRE KAPLER!

The Phillies are not a good team. They don’t hit steal bases or play defense and they don’t have any good prospects coming up like the rest of the National League. Despite having high picks from the last three years, Kapler has given Philly fans another few years of bad baseball. All summer long I called in and never got published. Now maybe you will listen and please print in capital letters “Fire Kapler!”

BONDS THAT TIE

One more thing about government and all these banks charging interest on student loans: Like I said, people who go to college to earn degrees should not be charged interest on their student loans. Eventually when they graduate they are going to add to our economy and make this country better. I worked 40+ years. I started getting government bonds and I kept up a number from $50 a month to $100 to $500 a month and finally when my son graduated he paid off almost all of his whole student loan with the bonds I had gotten from the government. He tells me now he is so thankful because every one of his friends is saddled with so much debt from the student loans. He is the only one of his friends that doesn’t have a student loan to pay off.
