Hagerty and Hartney pace Garnet Valley volleyball
Alanna Hagerty posted nine digs, seven kills and one block to lead Garnet Valley to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 2616) nonleague victory over Unionville in girls volleyball action Saturday.
Ally Hartney contributed 10 kills, three blocks and two digs. Rachel Cain notched 27 assists, while Emma Rokosky chipped in with five kills, 10 digs, two aces and one block for the Jags.

Josh Williams’ converted a penalty kick in the 75th minute, sealing Garnet Valley’s 2-0 nonleague decision over Penn Wood. The Jags’ first tally was an own goal by the Patriots.
Matt Ippolito earned the shutout on four saves. Penn Wood’s Luseni Nyei made eight saves.
