2 in cus­tody fol­low­ing week­end stab­bing of ’Nova stu­dent

RADNOR >> Two peo­ple were in po­lice cus­tody Thurs­day even­ing in con­nec­tion with the stab­bing of a Vil­lanova Univer­sity stu­dent that oc­curred over the week­end. Po­lice con­tin­ued to search for a third sus­pect.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the sus­pects, whose iden­ti­ties had not yet been re­leased, were be­ing ques­tioned and could be for­mally charged Thurs­day night.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred early Satur­day morn­ing when a man told po­lice he had left Kelly’s Tap­room on Lan­caster Av­enue in Bryn Mawr with a fe­male. He said three men ap­proached them from be­hind and ver­bally con­fronted them as they walked on Prospect Av­enue ap­proach­ing County Line Road.

The woman ran and the con­fronta­tion turned phys­i­cal. The vic­tim sus­tained a stab wound to the chest.
