Commission hears plan for subdivision

Dayton Daily News - - LOCAL FOCUS -

Troy’s Planning Commission heard details on Oct. 11 of the proposed completion of a west side residential development started in the 1990s.

Plans for the Fox Harbor subdivision west of Interstate 75 and south of Main Street, near the city’s western edge, were described by Tim Davis of the city staff.

Local builder Frank Harlow attended the meeting for new owner Harbor West Land Co., which proposes to complete the subdivision. A total of 208 building lots are proposed on 69 acres.

The developer proposes to pay a fee in lieu of park land in the new area of housing, a request supported by city staff, Davis said. A large park is available in the neighboring Kings Chapel subdivision, he said.

Board chairman Al Kappers asked to table the commission recommendation to the city council until the city park board can consider the fees in lieu request. The commission agreed.
