Pioneer Harvest Meal offers food, folk tales
A Pioneer Harvest Meal will be prepared and served by Greene County Parks & Trails from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at Indian Mound Reserve, 2750 U.S. 42 E.
Cost is $15, Greene County resident; $20, non-resident. Pre-registration is required by end of day today.
Prepare roast venison, johnny cakes and fresh cider over an open fire. Participants will taste Ohio history as they prepare and dine on the open fire meal served with fresh apple cider.
Folk tales and ghost stories will be shared around the fire, and participants will receive a pioneer cookbook to take home.
