Pi­o­neer Har­vest Meal of­fers food, folk tales

A Pi­o­neer Har­vest Meal will be pre­pared and served by Greene County Parks & Trails from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at In­dian Mound Re­serve, 2750 U.S. 42 E.

Cost is $15, Greene County res­i­dent; $20, non-res­i­dent. Pre-regis­tra­tion is re­quired by end of day to­day.

Pre­pare roast veni­son, johnny cakes and fresh cider over an open fire. Par­tic­i­pants will taste Ohio his­tory as they pre­pare and dine on the open fire meal served with fresh ap­ple cider.

Folk tales and ghost sto­ries will be shared around the fire, and par­tic­i­pants will re­ceive a pi­o­neer cook­book to take home.
