Man accused in stabbing of 2
A Parma Heights man is accused of forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home and stabbing her and her mother, police said.
Cleveland.com reports the 18-year-old man was arrested late Sunday outside the house on Moore Drive near Dell Haven Drive, police said in a news release. Detectives have not released the man’s name because he has not yet been charged with a crime.
The 17-year-old ex-girlfriend and her 56-year-old mother were hurt in the stabbing, police said. Parma Fire Department paramedics took them to MetroHealth, where they remained in serious but stable condition Monday morning, police said.
The 17-year-old girl called 911 just before 9:30 p.m. to report that her ex-boyfriend forced his way into the home. The ex-boyfriend then beat and stabbed the girl and her mother, police said.
Officers arrived minutes later and found the man standing in the driveway outside the house. The man had a cut on his right hand, police said.
Paramedics also took the man to MetroHealth for treatment. He was later released and taken to the Parma jail, police said.
