Historical museum to be closed this month
The Bellbrook Historical Museum is closed through the end of February.
The museum curator, Janet Allison, and trustees are working on exhibits and building restoration projects.
The Bellbrook Historical Museum Trustees has an ongoing fundraiser to help pay for the building restoration. Commemorative bricks can be purchased and personalized for $50. They will be placed at the side entrance of the museum.
The museum’s displays focus on Bellbrook’s rich history and includes artifacts and pictures from before the area was settled to modern times. The displays consist of items that have been donated or loaned to the museum by residents.
In 1965, Evelyn Brock deeded the property at 42 North Main St. to the Village of Bellbrook to be used as a historical museum to be maintained by the city and open to the public.
The public can continue to contact Allison during the closure at 937-848-2415. More information is available on the city’s website at www.cityofbellbrook.org. DIANA BLOWERS, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
