WSU to host opioid treatment training
Providers can get free addiction medicine training next week through Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
The two-day training is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and Oct. 19 at the Wright State University Student Union, and 13 continuing education credits will be given.
The training is over the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s guidelines for patients with addiction and co-occurring conditions. Physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will have opportunities for skill practice in assessment, engagement, treatment planning, continuing care and transfer or discharge.
