Hurricane relief fund
The Foodbank, in partnership with Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU), has set up a special Hurricane Michael Relief Fund to accept financial donations for anyone that would like to donate to the disaster fund. Sinclair Community College and many other organizations have stepped up to help, providing sites to drop off cases of bottled water and canned goods.
Through Friday, Oct. 19, donations will be collected to support those affected by this hurricane and other disasters.
Michelle L. Riley, CEO of The Foodbank, says “Our thoughts go out to all those impacted by Hurricane Michael. Many Daytonians have local ties to residents on the East Coast. Those who are looking for a way to help can do so locally. Thank you to Wright Patt Credit Union and Sinclair Community College for continuously partnering with us to help during national disasters.” To donate funds:

To donate bottled water and canned goods: Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
■ Sinclair Community College, Building 12, located on the corner of West Fourth Street and Perry Street in downtown Dayton from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Wednesday, Oct. 17
■ Ohio Medical Transport, 2740 W. National Rd., Dayton (across from the Dayton International Airport) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
■ The Foodbank, 56 Armor Place, Dayton, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
