All-inclusive playground

Residents of all ages and all abilities throughout the region will increase their access to healthy, outdoor and all-inclusive activity at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center, 210 Fairground Road, as a result of Greene County Parks & Trails (GCP&T) being awarded a matching funds grant from GameTime and the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA).

The grant and project was spearheaded by GCP&T Maintenance Leads Allen Beam and Jason Carter. Both attended an OPRA playground certification program and grant application training before submitting the winning grant proposal.

The first phase of the project will include a new playground designed to meet the needs of park patrons of all abilities and all ages.
