Almost Real Models 2015 Bentley Continental GT3 Nurburgring

1:43 | $75

The Bentley Continental might seem like an unlikely race car. The street version weighs nearly 5,000 pounds and costs well over $300K—more than many race cars! But thanks to a GT3 formula specifically designed to equalize wildly different vehicles in a competitive performance window and a shocking weight-loss program that hacked a ton— literally, one ton!—out of the car, it matched up with Ferraris, Porsches, and McLarens on track. Its first competitive season was 2015, and thanks to the car’s rock-solid consistency, it finished second overall in the championship. Its best race finish was also second, at the final event of the season at the Nurburgring. Almost Real’s 1:43 model depicts that precise car/event. Paint and surface detail are excellent, and the model has the team car’s sponsor and series decals down to the finest point. The car comes on an attractive base with a carbon-fiber look to the surface as well as a classy identification plaque affixed at the nose. Unlikely though it may be, there’s no doubt that the Bentley racer is a handsome car, and proof that the GT3 rules make for excellent parity among vastly different machines.
