OWNER’S WIFE KITINA SAYS: “My husband has always wanted a new Chevy truck but really could not ever find the one we wanted in our price range. As the kids got older, it was harder for all of us to ride in a single cab. One day, he came up with the idea that he would just build the truck he wanted. So he stretched the frame and added the crew cab with a 454 big-block and a five-speed transmission, but he couldn’t get any mileage out of it. So it was decided to go with a 12-valve Cummins. Now, it can pull anything we need, everyone can fit, and it gets great fuel mileage. Out of the 20 years he has owned the truck, it has been this way for about 3 years. It rides great and we love it.”
