In­sur­ers and in­surtechs alike are look­ing to find the best ap­pli­ca­tion for AI in the in­dus­try, and Cheatham's RiskGe­nius ap­pears to be a win­ner. The com­pany's plat­form an­a­lyzes pol­icy lan­guage to help in­sur­ers sell the right cov­er­age to the right cus­tomer and iden­tify new ar­eas to im­prove in. It caught the eye of QBE, which in­vested in the com­pany and an­nounced plans to roll out the soft­ware across its North Amer­i­can op­er­a­tions. “The RiskGe­nius prod­uct will pro­vide a plat­form for build­ing bet­ter prod­ucts and bet­ter meet­ing our cus­tomers' needs,” says Bob James, group head of trans­for­ma­tion for QBE. More than 125,000 QBE poli­cies will be up­loaded to the RiskGe­nius plat­form by June.
