Dirt Rider - - Tear Offs -

This past June 7, 8, and 9 marked the 25th annual running of the AMA Vintage Days. The event takes place just outside of Lexington, Ohio. There are plenty of vintage bikes around, and cruising the pits takes you back in time to 1985…or 1935. But there’s so much more to the event than just showing off a perfectly restored Indian, Penton, or BSA. One of the most exciting parts of the weekend is the racing. Between roadracing, hare scrambles, motocross, and trials, there’s almost always something going on. Don’t let the old-school machines fool you either; with official AMA National Championships on the line, the racing is intense.

But, wait, there’s more: a gigantic swap meet, one of the last motordromes (a.k.a. walls of death) touring in the United States, seminars on topics from the internal combustion engine to the International Six Days Enduro, and a beer garden with live entertainment. And the best part? All money collected at the gate goes to a good cause: supporting the AMA Hall of Fame Museum.
