Honda unveiled its 2018 CRF250R to the press at the GEICO Honda race shop, and the new bike has a lot of changes that have us excited for its October intro. The head is a dual cam design, going away from Honda’s Unicam, and uses rocker arms to open the valves. The exhaust on the new bike is a full twin exhaust—that means two full systems, each running up each side of the bike. The engine’s intake routes over the rear shock top mount design (just like what the CRF450R received last year), and the 250’s intake feeds larger intake and exhaust valves that have a higher lift. The bike is electric start only and the suspension upgrade is the same one the CRF450R got last year except with different spring rates and valving. Yep, that means a coil spring fork on the new Honda 250F.
