DCA an­nounces en­ter­tain­ment for April 16 Guest Artist Event

CAM­BRIDGE — The Dorch­ester Cen­ter for the Arts (DCA) re­cently an­nounced Daryl Davis along with Rich and the Road­run­ners will be pro­vid­ing dance mu­sic for the 9th an­nual Guest Artist Event to be held on April 16 in the Ge­orge B. Todd Per­for­mance Hall.

Davis has an ex­ten­sive mu­sic back­ground and has de­lighted au­di­ences for years. Rich and the Road­run­ners have re­ceived rave re­views from Bal­ti­more, Wash­ing­ton and Penn­syl­va­nia.

Davis ab­sorbed the in­flu­ences of the South from mu­si­cians who trav­eled North from the Mis­sis­sippi Delta, Texas, Louisiana, Ten­nessee, and Mis­souri to this Blues Mecca. Davis earned his Bach­e­lor of Mu­sic De­gree from Howard Univer­sity in Wash­ing­ton D.C., where he was a mem­ber of their world fa­mous and renowned Jazz Vo­cal Ensem­ble.
