West End Citizens As­so­ci­a­tion hosts Satur­day “One Hour Walk­ing Tour of His­toric High Street” in Cam­bridge. Tours will con­tinue each Satur­day (weather per­mit­ting) through Satur­day, Oct. 29. Meet your Colo­nial cos­tumed tour guide at 11 a.m. on Long Wharf at the foot of High Street ev­ery Satur­day. Reser­va­tions are not nec­es­sary, but ap­pre­ci­ated. High Street is the old­est street in the City of Cam­bridge first named in 1706.

Sal­va­tion Army Adult Bi­ble Class Sun­days

The Sal­va­tion Army, 200 Wash­ing­ton Street, would like to in­vite the pub­lic to par­tic­i­pate in the Adult Bi­ble Class held each Sun­day morn­ing at 9:45 a.m. Classes in­volve singing hymns, prayer and a Bi­ble les­son, of­ten with guest speak­ers and spe­cial mu­sic. Cof­fee and pas­tries are of­fered. Chil­dren’s classes are also avail­able, and a wor­ship ser­vice fol­lows at 11 a.m.

Mary­land Se­nior Citizens Hall of Fame Seek­ing Nom­i­na­tions

The Mary­land Se­nior Citizens Hall of Fame is seek­ing nom­i­na­tions of Mary­land res­i­dents, 65 years of age or older, who as ac­tive vol­un­teers have made out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tions to im­prove the lives of oth­ers in the com­mu­nity. Up to 50 qual­i­fied nom­i­nees will be se­lected for in­duc­tion into the 2016 Mary­land Se­nior Citizens Hall of Fame. Inc. Yard Sale April 16 Sail­winds of Cam­bridge, Inc. will host a yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon Satur­day, April 16, at Gov­er­nor’s Hall. 100 Years of Pro­tect­ing Birds April 17

Black­wa­ter Na­tional Wildlife Refuge will host a 100 years of pro­tect­ing birds pre­sen­ta­tion at the vis­i­tor cen­ter at 1 p.m. Sun­day, April 17. The event is free. Come hear about past and cur­rent ef­forts to conserve birds and how you can help preserve birds for the fu­ture.
