West End Cit­i­zens As­so­ci­a­tion hosts Satur­day “One Hour Walk­ing Tour of His­toric High Street” in Cam­bridge. Tours will con­tinue each Satur­day (weather per­mit­ting) through Satur­day, Oct. 29. Meet your Colo­nial cos­tumed tour guide at 11 a.m. on Long Wharf at the foot of High Street ev­ery Satur­day. Reser­va­tions are not nec­es­sary, but ap­pre­ci­ated. High Street is the old­est street in the City of Cam­bridge first named in 1706.

Sal­va­tion Army Adult Bible Class Sun­days The Sal­va­tion Army, 200 Wash­ing­ton Street, would like to in­vite the pub­lic to par­tic­i­pate in the Adult Bible Class held each Sun­day morn­ing at 9:45 a.m. Classes in­volve singing hymns, prayer and a Bible les­son, of­ten with guest speak­ers and spe­cial mu­sic. Cam­bridge Wo­man’s Club An­nual Meet­ing May 6 On Fri­day, May 6, the Cam­bridge Wo­man’s Club hosts its an­nual meet­ing be­gin­ning with a lun­cheon at 12:30. In lieu of a speaker, the club will rec­og­nize its new mem­bers as well as 510and 15-year mem­bers as well as dis­cuss re­cent ac­com­plish­ments and fu­ture plans. The meet­ing is free and open to the pub­lic. Monthly meet­ings take place at the club house at Sy­camore Cot­tage, 417 High Street, across from the Robin Hood Shop. Dorch­ester County Health De­part­ment Spring Ra­bies Clinic May 7 The Dorch­ester County Health De­part­ment will hold two more ra­bies clin­ics around the county this spring. The first will be held at the Hur­lock Vol­un­teer Fire Dept. from 9 to 10 a.m. on Satur­day, May 7. The sec­ond will be held be­hind the Dorch­ester County Health Dept. build­ing, 3 Cedar Street, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon also on Satur­day, May 7. They will be vac­ci­nat­ing dogs, cats and fer­rets for only $5. Dogs must be on a leash and cats and fer­rets must be in a car­rier.

Fun Dog Show May 14 Christ Epis­co­pal Church Fun Dog Show will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Gov­er­nors Hall at Sail­winds Park. Reg­is­tra­tion for a va­ri­ety of show classes starts at 9 a.m. The dogs must be at least 6 months old and on a leash in or­der to com­pete, no pedi­grees re­quired. There are many fun cat­e­gories to choose from in­clud­ing Best Small Dog, Best Big­gest Dog, Best Cos­tume, Best Tricks, Best Heinz 57 (from a shel­ter). The first cat­e­gory en­try is $5 and ad­di­tional cat­e­gories, $4 each. A por­tion of the pro­ceeds from the event will ben­e­fit the Hu­mane So­ci­ety.
