CAM­BRIDGE — On May 16, 2016, Jean T. Radtke, beloved wife of Nor­bert Radtke, de­voted mother of Dr. Nancy Radtke and a son Ed­ward, who pre­ceded her in death.

Born July 21, 1927, she grew up in Fed­er­als­burg, MD. She went on to at­tend Western Mary­land Col­lege, where she was awarded her BA De­gree in English and Ed­u­ca­tion, en­cour­aged by ob­tain­ing the sta­tus of Cum Laude. She next en­rolled in the Bal­ti­more County Com­mu­nity Col­lege Med­i­cal Depart­ment and re­ceived a BS De­gree in the Physi­cian’s As­sis­tant pro­gram. This vo­ca­tion which she prac­ticed for 15 years at sev­eral Bal­ti­more Hos­pi­tals, gave her the most sat­is­fac­tion and pres­tige.

Upon her re­tire­ment, she and her hus­band and daugh­ter trav­eled ex­ten­sively around the world. Jean and her hus­band en­tered Oak Crest Re­tire­ment Com­mu­nity in 2013.

A fu­neral ser­vice will be held on Fri­day, May 20, 2016 at 1 pm at Thomas Fu­neral Home, P.A. in Cam­bridge with Rev. Jimmy Harper of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­ter­ment will fol­low at East New Mar­ket Ceme­tery. Fam­ily will re­ceive friends one hour prior to the ser­vice.
