Cambridge Federal offering Private Detective Academy in June, July
CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge Federal, in conjunction with Annapolis Defense and Security, is offering a four-day, 40-hour Private Detective Academy program at the Eastern Shore Innovation Center, 104 Tech Park Drive in Cambridge on June 25 and 26 and July 9 and 10.
Participants who complete the training may be eligible for sponsorship for Maryland Private Investigator License, Maryland Security Guard Certificate and Maryland Handgun Wear and Carry permit. Topics to be covered will be Investigative Database Access and Use, Firearms Safety and Use of Force, Surveillance Tools, Techniques and Analysis and Legal Issues involved in PI Work.

Cambridge Federal also provides a one-stop center for personal identification services such as digital fingerprinting, notary public and passport photos. They are equipped with high resolution fingerprint technology and sends digital fingerprints to Maryland CJIS and FBI CJIS.
The Eastern Shore Innovation Center has been established to help innovative small business accelerate the process of “Moving from Inspiration to Brilliance” and, in the process, strengthen the Eastern Shore economy and job market. Opened on Feb. 1, the center currently is working with eight new and promising businesses.
It has participation fees, which start at $50 per month and go up based on the space required. It is a “class A” business space with free WiFi, high speed communication, a business mentoring program and commonly required business resources available to its members.
