Cam­bridge Fed­eral of­fer­ing Pri­vate De­tec­tive Acad­emy in June, July

CAM­BRIDGE — Cam­bridge Fed­eral, in con­junc­tion with An­napo­lis De­fense and Se­cu­rity, is of­fer­ing a four-day, 40-hour Pri­vate De­tec­tive Acad­emy pro­gram at the Eastern Shore In­no­va­tion Cen­ter, 104 Tech Park Drive in Cam­bridge on June 25 and 26 and July 9 and 10.

Par­tic­i­pants who com­plete the train­ing may be el­i­gi­ble for spon­sor­ship for Maryland Pri­vate In­ves­ti­ga­tor Li­cense, Maryland Se­cu­rity Guard Cer­tifi­cate and Maryland Hand­gun Wear and Carry per­mit. Top­ics to be cov­ered will be In­ves­tiga­tive Database Ac­cess and Use, Firearms Safety and Use of Force, Sur­veil­lance Tools, Tech­niques and Anal­y­sis and Le­gal Is­sues in­volved in PI Work.

Cam­bridge Fed­eral also pro­vides a one-stop cen­ter for per­sonal iden­ti­fi­ca­tion ser­vices such as dig­i­tal finger­print­ing, no­tary pub­lic and pass­port photos. They are equipped with high res­o­lu­tion finger­print tech­nol­ogy and sends dig­i­tal fin­ger­prints to Maryland CJIS and FBI CJIS.

The Eastern Shore In­no­va­tion Cen­ter has been es­tab­lished to help in­no­va­tive small busi­ness ac­cel­er­ate the process of “Mov­ing from In­spi­ra­tion to Bril­liance” and, in the process, strengthen the Eastern Shore econ­omy and job mar­ket. Opened on Feb. 1, the cen­ter cur­rently is work­ing with eight new and promis­ing busi­nesses.

It has par­tic­i­pa­tion fees, which start at $50 per month and go up based on the space re­quired. It is a “class A” busi­ness space with free WiFi, high speed com­mu­ni­ca­tion, a busi­ness men­tor­ing pro­gram and com­monly re­quired busi­ness re­sources avail­able to its mem­bers.
