CAM­BRIDGE — James O. Foxwell, 92, of Cam­bridge, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Ch­e­sa­peake Woods Cen­ter. He was born in Lakesville on Jan. 12, 1924, and was a son of the late Thomas H. and Jennie Stevens Foxwell.

He at­tended schools in Crapo. He served in the U.S. Army dur­ing WWII. On April 10, 1944, he mar­ried the for­mer Betty John­son, who passed away on June 7, 2000. He was owner/op­er­a­tor of Cam­bridge Au­to­mo­tive/NAPA Auto Parts. He en­joyed hunt­ing, fish­ing and trav­el­ing.

He is sur­vived by a son, William O. Foxwell, of Sec­re­tary; a daugh­ter, Cindy A. Stevens and hus­band Russ of Hur­lock; two grand­chil­dren, Kristi L. Shaw (Bryan) and Kel­lie L. Stevens; two great­grand­chil­dren; a brother, Leonard Foxwell and wife Jan­ice of Cam­bridge, and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. Be­sides his par­ents and his wife, Mr. Foxwell is pre­ceded in death by a son, James O. Foxwell Jr., a grand­daugh­ter, Kathryn E. Foxwell Mur­ray, a brother, Thomas Foxwell Jr. and two sis­ters, Pauline “Polly” F. Rob­bins and Ju­lia Nor­ris Mills.

A grave­side ser vice will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2 p.m. at Dorch­ester Memo­rial Park, with Rev. William Davis of­fi­ci­at­ing.
