James O. Foxwell
CAMBRIDGE — James O. Foxwell, 92, of Cambridge, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Chesapeake Woods Center. He was born in Lakesville on Jan. 12, 1924, and was a son of the late Thomas H. and Jennie Stevens Foxwell.
He attended schools in Crapo. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On April 10, 1944, he married the former Betty Johnson, who passed away on June 7, 2000. He was owner/operator of Cambridge Automotive/NAPA Auto Parts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by a son, William O. Foxwell, of Secretary; a daughter, Cindy A. Stevens and husband Russ of Hurlock; two grandchildren, Kristi L. Shaw (Bryan) and Kellie L. Stevens; two greatgrandchildren; a brother, Leonard Foxwell and wife Janice of Cambridge, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Foxwell is preceded in death by a son, James O. Foxwell Jr., a granddaughter, Kathryn E. Foxwell Murray, a brother, Thomas Foxwell Jr. and two sisters, Pauline “Polly” F. Robbins and Julia Norris Mills.
A graveside ser vice will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2 p.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park, with Rev. William Davis officiating.
