Keasha Haythe launches eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment group

EAS­TON — Tal­bot County na­tive and Eas­ton res­i­dent Keasha Haythe has launched Zoe Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment Group LLC.

Zoe Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment Group LLC, is a full ser­vice eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment con­sult­ing firm based in Eas­ton that spe­cial­izes in busi­ness at­trac­tion, re­ten­tion and ex­pan­sion, site se­lec­tion and pro­ject fi­nanc­ing ser vices.

Work­ing with pri­vate and pub­lic en­ti­ties seek­ing eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment ser­vices, the busi­ness was cre­ated this year after Haythe spent more than 15 years work­ing in gov­ern­ment.

Most re­cently, she served as eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment direc­tor for Dorch­ester County.

“I am so ex­cited to be able to pro­vide eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment con­sult­ing ser­vices to busi­nesses seek­ing to lo­cate to Mary­land es­pe­cially to the East­ern Shore,” Haythe said. “We have a team of pro­fes­sion­als ready to as­sist busi­nesses and gov­ern­ments in tak­ing the next step to ful­fill the plans for their busi­ness and com­mu­nity.”

Cur­rently, the firm is work­ing with Oys­ters Inc., a $3.4 mil­lion oys­ter hatch­ery pro­ject to be lo­cated in Dorch­ester County. This pro­ject will spur eco­nomic ac­tiv­ity for Dorch­ester and the State of Mar yland.

In ad­di­tion to serv­ing as CEO of Zoe Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment Group, LLC. Haythe serves as Pres­i­dent of Mary­land Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment As­so­ci­a­tion, or MEDA, and was re­cently ap­pointed by Gov. Larry Ho­gan and con­firmed by the Mary­land Se­nate to serve on the Mary­land Depart­ment of Com­merce P3 Mar­ket­ing Board of Direc­tors.
