CAM­BRIDGE — Caro­line Gordy Wool­folk passed away Mon­day morn­ing July 18, 2016, at Ch­e­sa­peake Woods Cen­ter, Cam­bridge. She was 93.

Born April 8, 1923 in Wilm­ing­ton, DE, she was a daugh­ter of the late Irv­ing and Sarah Jane Gordy.

After grad­u­at­ing from Cam­bridge High School in 1940, she at­tended Goldey Bea­con Busi­ness School. She was then em­ployed at E.I. Dupont.

On Feb. 3, 1958, she mar­ried Ed­mund Win­ston Wool­folk. They were mar­ried 47 years and made their home in Cam­bridge. Mr. Wool­folk died on Oct. 31, 2005.

Caro­line had the life she al­ways wanted, be­ing a home­maker, a mother, and a grand­mother.

She is sur­vived by her three sons: Ed­mund W. Wool­folk Jr. (Jill), Richard Wool­folk and W. David Wool­folk (Emily); eight grand­chil­dren; two great grand­chil­dren; and a brother, Wil­liam Gordy.

Be­sides her par­ents and hus­band, she was pre­ceded in death by two broth­ers Irv­ing Gordy Jr. and John A. Gordy; a sis­ter Betty Jane Cas­sell. All ser­vices will be pri­vate. In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily sug­gests a con­tri­bu­tion to St. Pauls Epis­co­pal Church, P.O. Box 141, Trappe, MD, or the Alzheimer’s Re­search and Pre­ven­tion Foun­da­tion, P.O. Box 30783, Tucson, AZ 85751-0783.

The fam­ily also would like to thank the staff at Ch­e­sa­peake Woods Cen­ter for the great care she re­ceived.
